A word of Encouragement

Hey guys, I just wanted to encourage you guys in your ministry. At first glance, one could say that this is the enemy destroying our ministry. But its important to look further. Although I dont know exactly, perhaps this is where we should take a step back from what we've been doing for the last few years, refocus, and renew our goals. I really believe that the success of a ministry relies on both the leadership and those on the front lines being focussed on a single goal. Yes we have lost a few leaders and busses and our attendance numbers have been down. But what if this year, with less busses and kids and a refocused goal, we are able to connect with the kids in a more significant way, so that they will come back not for fun at sunday school, but for the relatioships and to get closer to God. As Marvin always said at M:A, we are here for the one. Because that one will change others in a bigger way than a whole group of kids who go for the fun and the treats.
I will be praying for you guys this year. I see huge plans for you guys. Read Psalm 22. Have faith.
