A Busing Change

As of Easter Sunday we will be combining the busing of the North Rutland and Rutland Bench routes. Please understand that this is not an attempt to combine the actual routes. We are just trying to be good stewards with the resources that God has given us by sending out one bus rather than two. (...without reducing the quality of ministry to either route because this doesn't mean leaders can be skipping weeks now!)

Numbers are not where they have been and it just doesn't make sense to have just a few kids on one bus when another bus goes almost right by already! If an increase in numbers warrants a split, we won't hesitate to send out another bus again.

As a sidebar, I still believe that as a team we are doing all the right things and that there is no one to blame for recent lower attendances. There is also no reason to be worried. Over the years we've seen the numbers go up and down, but each year God has touched individual kids for eternity. And that's what matters. And that's why I like the name we've adopted: "One by One Ministries". It's not about the crowds. Let God worry about how many. Let us concern ourselves with how we are ministering to the ONEs that he gives us, whether it's thirty ONEs or five ONEs.
